Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is currently looking for a permanent, full-time Senior Infrastructure Engineer, with solid experience building and supporting progressive financial technologies, in a fast paced, mission critical environment. Our client is a NYC based fixed income trading firm, with 10 branch locations, consisting of approximately 250 employees. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone to gain exposure to best of breed technologies as well as being a part of a dynamic, growth-oriented trading desk. Qualifications:

  • 5+ years building and supporting enterprise network environments
  • Knowledge of routing protocols (IEGRP and BGP)
  • Solid understanding of storage technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS, ISCSI, FC)
  • 5+ years managing Windows and Linux servers in a Virtual environment
  • Expert knowledge of IT security and security best practices
  • Strong understanding of clustering and high availability techniques
  • Demonstrated ability of shell scripting
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required
  • Willingness to work additional hours when necessary
  • Must be available after hours for support calls
  • Must be willing to occasionally travel

Additional Qualifications:

  • Cisco or Red Hat Certification a huge plus
  • Experience administering Sybase and Postgre databases a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Infrastructure environment consisting of Cisco network and blade technologies
  • Manage Linux and Windows server environment
  • Manage NetApp storage systems
  • Maintaining DevOps Puppet environment
  • Server/Network optimization for peak performance
  • Troubleshooting network/server performance issues
  • Create technical documentation as required for network and system related changes and updates
  • Maintain network and system diagrams utilizing Microsoft Visio
  • Assist with technology planning through ongoing research and testing
