Network Engineer

Our Client is currently seeking a Network Engineer to join their team at their corporate office located in New York City. This position offers an excellent opportunity in a growth-oriented environment. The company offers competitive salary (base + bonus), medical benefits, and 401k Plan.



  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in a Network Engineer position
  • Design, Install, Support and Maintain network infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, 
firewalls, switches, IPS/IDS and content filters.
  • Implement and maintain security posture
  • Develop and document network standardization processes
  • Implement network controls and procedures to protect client information
  • Perform and resolve security vulnerability assessments
  • Network monitoring and trending
  • Diagnose problems and solve high priority issues
  • Project management
  • Must be available after hours for support calls
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills required
  • Minimum CCNP certification required
  • Previous experience supporting financial firms a plus
  • Previous experience working at an MSP a plus


  • Management and troubleshooting of firewall and switches
  • Layer 1 through 7 WAN and LAN troubleshooting
  • Manage and maintain network and system security logs collection, correlation and reporting
  • Vulnerability scanning and remediation
  • Wireless and wired network management
  • Work with Engineering, and Operations teams to define and document network standards and architecture
  • Serve as escalation point for any defined network incidents
  • Actively complete assigned technical projects and provide guidance and training to other staff members
  • Assist in formalizing and updating security policies, procedures and technical standards and 
auditing/monitoring compliance with those standards
  • Assess requirements, research, recommend, design and implement necessary solutions/tools to meet 
information security and all applicable compliance requirements
  • Serve as a technical and functional subject matter expert across multiple network domain areas
  • Stay abreast of current technologies, developments, network compliance requirements, standards and 
industry trends
